Sing When You’re Winning
Europe and America’s PING Junior Solheim Cup teams proved their singing is almost as good as their golf when they staged an impromptu sing-song ahead of the Junior Solheim Cup Challenge held at Killeen Castle on the eve of the Solheim Cup.
Twenty four hours after the two teams tied 12-12 in a dramatic PING Junior Solheim Cup match at Knightsbrook Hotel Spa and Golf Resort they combined to compete in a Challenge played over the 1st, 17th and 18th over the Jack Nicklaus course at Killeen.
Two Europeans and two Americans were paired together in teams of four all of which were named after unique heritage sites in Ireland – Ceide Fields, Blarney Stone, Cliff of Moher, Newgrange, Battle of the Boyne and Hill of Tara – and they entertained the large crowd with the same sort of top quality golf displayed at the PING Junior Solheim Cup match at Knightsbrook.
