Chrisje de Vries made a hole in one during Tuesday’s practice round at the UniCredit Ladies German Open. She made it on the right hole: the 171-yard par-three 15th at Golfpark Gut Häusern… but on the wrong day!

Had she made it during the tournament she would have won an Audi R8 5.2 Quattro worth €158,000.

Chrisje, from the Netherlands, posted a photo and this message on Facebook:

‘Just hit a hole in one on the 'Audi-r8-hole', if only I hadn't done it in the practice round!

‘Then I slammed my 5 iron straight into the hole...what are the chances this will happen again tomorrow..?’

The same thing happened to French player Nathalie David-Mila in 2010 as she revealed on Facebook:

‘You know that it happened to me in 2010?!! Unfortunately I did not repeat it 2 days after... I hope you will! Good luck!’

The competitors in the field are getting excited about the prize, which cannot be missed as it’s parked on the 15th tee.

Sophie Gustafson, playing in the tournament for the first time, wrote: ‘Feel like Homer Simpson drooling over this weeks HIO car.’

She added: ‘Thoroughly enjoying my Audi A5 convertible this week. Almost like being back on my Triumph Tiger.’
