Italian golfer Costantino Rocca and top Austrian star Markus Brier played nine holes at GC Föhrenwald in Wiener Neustadt with Austrian golfers Nicole Gergely, Sarah Shrober and Natascha Fink on Wednesday to promote the UNIQA Ladies Golf Open 2012 presented by Raiffeisen, from September 7-9.

The tournamnet has been played at the venue for the last seven years, starting in 2005, when Italian Federica Piovano took the title.

Since then, three Swedes have won: Sophie Gustafson in 2006, Linda Wessberg in 2009 and Caroline Hedwall in 2011. England’s Laura Davies has won the event three times in 2007, 2008 and 2010 and lost a play-off to Wessberg in 2009. The British star will surely fancy her chances again this time.
