With golf rejoining the Summer Olympics at Rio de Janeiro in 2016, we asked LET golfer Kiran Matharu from England her thoughts about the Games.

What is/are your favourite Olympic sports? Tennis.

Who is your favourite Olympic athlete? Usain Bolt.

What sport or event do you like to watch during the Olympics? All running sports really, tennis and skiing.

Which country do you think will win the most medals during London 2012? I don't really know much about any other countries. I would like to see GB to be the best.

Which Olympic Games did you like the most and why? Beijing. It was great seeing Usain Bolt perform.

Do you practice currently or have you ever practiced any other Olympic Sport, apart from Golf? I don't play any other sport at a high level.

Your favourite moment at any Olympics Games:  Watching Kelly Holmes win a gold medal was brilliant, even better as I had the same physio as her.

Have you met any other Olympic medal sportsmen or women apart from Vera Shimanskaya? I know Amir Khan quite well. Met him at the Sony Sports awards several times.

If you were not a golf professional, what other Olympic Sport would you have liked to practice?  I would have loved to be a gymnast.

If you had not dedicated your career to golf. In which other Olympic Sport do you think you would have succeeded? Some sort of power sport like weight lifting as I naturally have a strong lower body.

Do you know the procedure to get selected to enter Rio 2016, where golf will be for the first time a new Sport? Explain it. I'm not sure really, I just know four players from each country will go.

How do you think Golf will change from 2016 after being a new Olympic Sport?

It will be a great change, hopefully more non golfers will respect the game and attract more people to play and watch.
