The 2012 Summer Olympics are in full swing and all over the world people are watching as their favourite athlete competes for gold. We caught up with former European Solheim Cup player Tania Elosegui of Spain to get her take on this year's Summer Olympics, from her favourite event to watch, her favourite moment of the Summer Olympics and a lot more.

What are your favourite Olympic sports?

100m, 200m, long jump, pole vault.

Who are your favourite Olympic athletes?

My favourite sports women are 400 metres because I like to see women running but when it is not as explosive as in 100 metres and the pole vault because I think Isimbayeva is the best athlete ever. My favourite sports men are 100 metres because I like how explosive they are and the long jump because is absolutely amazing how long they can jump: nine metres!

What sport or event do you like to watch during the Olympics?

The athletics and short distance swimming.

Have you got any plans to go to watch any event regarding London 2012?

No, I don't have any plans.

Which country do you think will win more medals during London 2012? What about Great Britain?

Probably China like in the last ones. I think Great Britain will do well.

Which Olympic Games you liked the most and why?

Barcelona because it was in my country and because the opening ceremony was absolutely amazing.

Do you practice currently or have you ever practiced any other Olympic Sport, apart from golf?

Tennis and football.

What was your favourite moment at any Olympics Games?

When Michael Phelps won the eight medals. Pretty difficult that anyone in history will win eight medals.

Have you met any other Olympic athletes apart from Vera Shimanskaya?

No, I don't think I met any other Olympic medallists.

If you were not a golf professional, what other Olympic Sport would you have liked to practice?

Tennis or long jump.

How do you think golf will change from 2016 after being a new Olympic Sport?

I hope it will be known in the minority countries where almost none practice it.
