A new Rookie Blog from Germany´s Ann-Kathrin Lindner talking about her experiences at the Turkish Airlines Ladies Open.

Ann-Kathrin at the Lalla Meryem Cup

I am Anka and i am playing my first year as a professional. I got the category 9b at the LET Tour School in December and I am happy to play on the Ladies European Tour 2013.

The Turkish Airlines Ladies Open was my second tournament on the LET after the Lalla Meryem Cup in Agadir in the end of March. As a Rookie, everything is still exciting on tour. It is a new challenge, although it is the same game.

I felt very good in Turkey. There were many German Players in the field and I get more and more familiar with  other players. It feels good to be part of this big community.

I started really good in the tournament and tied for 9th place after the first round. It was a different situation compaired to Agadir, were I was fighting for the cut.  My target in turkey was the same, the cut, although I recognise to play better than this. With +3, I was safe in the weekend and hope to claim some positions on the leaderboard with solid rounds around par. I played to times +1 and finished 17th. Even I made some stupid mistakes, I am very happy to finish in the Top 20 in my second LET Tournament. I am feeling better with my game  every week and I hope to reach the Top 10 soon.

I am very happy with my decision to turn pro and playing on the Ladies European Tour. I am living my dream and have a lot of fun on tour!
