Lydia Ko will only play at home once this year and New Zealand Golf is giving golfers all over the country the chance to play alongside the World No.4 in the ISPS Handa NZ Women’s Open Pro-Am.
The prize, which will be bid for on a Trade Me auction (link below), is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to tee off alongside one of the hottest young golfers in the game before she defends her ISPS Handa NZ Women’s Open title on Friday.
Ko will play in the afternoon field of the Pro-Am and Tee off is at 1pm on Thursday January 30, 2014 at the Clearwater Golf Club in Christchurch followed by a prize-giving and dinner.
The winner must be able to make their own way to the Clearwater Golf Club.
The auction prize includes the following; One playing spot in the ISPS Handa NZ Women's Open Pro-Am with Lydia Ko, Food and beverage on course, Pro-Am event pack, a Lydia Ko signed event shirt, a Lydia Ko signed glove and ball, a Lydia Ko signed Pro-Am team photo and the Pro-Am prize-giving
The ISPS Handa NZ Women’s Open Pro-Am dinner will begin at around 6pm.
There is only one auction and only one place available for the winner, there are no refunds and the auction closes on Wednesday January 29, 2014 at 12.09pm.
All proceeds from this auction will go towards the Dr. Handa Fellowship in International Studies (University of Canterbury) – the Official Charity of the ISPS Handa NZ Women’s Open.
The Fellowship was established to enable scholarly exchange and cooperation between New Zealand and Japan in the area of Japanese Studies.
The Fellowship also enables collaborative and comparative research opportunities and contribution to teaching at either undergraduate or postgraduate levels.
