To take part in The 18 Finest, each member will need to play and make the cut at each of the first 8 events of The 18 Finest unless they use one "bye". The "bye" is an addition to The 18 Finest for the 2007 season. Each player will have the opportunity to use only one "bye" during the season and only if she doesn't attend an event for any reason.

Playing a "bye" will result in the player having an aggregate score of +4 added to her 18 Finest leaderboard total for that event, but remain in the competition. If a player is still in The 18 Finest and is not playing in one of the events, then the "bye" will automatically be used and the +4 aggregate score added to her leaderboard total.

Should a player miss any other event in The 18 Finest, then she will be eliminated from the competition.

The final event for the 2007 season will be the Madrid Ladies Masters.

To qualify for The 18 Finest Final Stage, a player must be ranked in the Top 5 of the leaderboard after the 8 first designated tournaments.
Should a player still in contention for The 18 Finest not otherwise exempt to play the Madrid Ladies Masters (i.e. not qualified via the top 30 of those who have entered from the New Star Money List after the Nykredit Masters), then a maximum of 5 such players (in The 18 Finest leaderboard order) will receive a Sponsor’s Invitation.

If there is a tie for 5th place on the The 18 Finest leaderboard before the Final Stage, then the players’ standing on the New Star Money List will determine who will gain the invite to the Madrid Ladies Masters.

If a player is exempt to play in Madrid via the Money List and is still in The 18 Finest but not in the top 5 (including ties), then she will not be eligible to participate in the Final Stage of The 18 Finest.

A prize fund of €110,000 will be paid to the top five finishers of The 18 Finest.

Ladies European TourThe Rules
  1. A player must be an LET member.

  2. She must play in each designated event and make the cut or use her "bye" once.

  3. The score carded on the two designated holes in each round of the listed tournaments will count.

  4. The scores from each round will be added together to have one cumulative score.

  5. The prize money will be distributed as follows:
    • 1st Place: € 55,000
    • 2nd Place: € 27,500
    • 3rd Place:  € 13,000
    • 4th Place: € 8,500
    • 5th Place: € 6,000

  6. If there is a tie for any place, the cumulative score for the back nine of The 18 Finest will be considered. The lowest score will win. If this is the same, then it will be a better cumulative back 6, then back 3. Should these all be the same, then scoring on a hole-by-hole basis from hole 1 will be looked at.

  7. If fewer than five contestants are in the field for the Madrid Ladies Masters then each of them will receive an additional portion of the money. If there is only one player left, then she will receive the entire prize fund.

  8. If, after 16 holes there are no contestants remaining, then the placements will be decided by consulting the standings after the previous hole of The 18 Finest, i.e. hole 14. In case of a tie at this stage, then rule 6 will apply to count back the scores.
