The Ladies European Tour has arrived in Sweden for the Scandinavian TPC hosted by Annika, starting on Thursday 9th August. But before the professionals tee up, the event week began with the inaugural ANNIKA Cup; a junior girls amateur event featuring the top 12 juniors from the Swedish ranking, aged between 12-16.

Annika Sörenstam started the concept of the ANNIKA Cup together with her childhood friend Maria Bertilsköld. Annika and Maria both played in the Swedish National team and Annika’s best junior golf memories come from playing and being part of the team.

It was with these memories in mind that she developed the ANNIKA Cup, wanting to give as many other young golfers the same experience and opportunity in team competition.

“I am very proud to get this off the ground and this is my chance to give something back to Sweden and junior golf. I want to inspire the juniors and increase the opportunities available to them. I want them to share my passion”, Annika said.

The juniors will also be given the chance to see how Annika prepares for a tournament both on and off course at the Scandinavian TPC hosted by Annika.
