"So far, it's been such fun," said Ludivine Kreutz, while Gwladys Nocera added: "I just feel so proud to be part of it all."
The first four days in Indiana have been about soaking up experience – they know that throughout the next three is going to be all about coping with Solheim stress.
But the European veterans have helped put their minds at ease.
"I played with Annika for the first time this week and she was so nice to me," continued Ludivine, a two-time winner on the Robe di Kappa Tour this year. "She talked to me a lot and really made me feel relaxed.
"In know it is going to be a lot of pressure, but everyone has told me to have fun and try and enjoy every moment."
Gwaldys has some experience of comepting in America, having played for four years at New Mexico State University. "But, of course, this is bigger than anything I've played in before," she said.

"But it is great to share everything with the other players. So far, I have had an absolutely great time."
The only regret is that their friends and family back home in France will not be able to watch the action. "The media are only interested in men's golf," pointed out a disappointed Ludivine. "We won't have anything at all on television back home and so my family will be stuck behind the computer all the time."
