The £300,000 S4C Wales Ladies Championship of Europe will take place at Conwy (Caernarvonshire) Golf Club as part of the Ryder Cup Wales Summer of Golf programme, with many of the top names in European ladies golf, including Becky Brewerton looking for victory a few miles from where she learned to play at Abergele.

The 2011 European Solheim Cup Captain Alison Nicholas has joined the European Golf Performance Institute Team, which offers training programmes for all levels of golfer.

LET rookie Pernilla Lindberg of Sweden posted a brilliant record score of nine-under par 63 on the final day of the Pegasus New Zealand Women’s Open at Pegasus Town, near Christchurch.

She may be an amateur and only 12-years-old, but New Zealand’s Lydia Ko produced an amazing four rounds of golf that had seasoned veterans shaking their heads in disbelief at her total of 284 and a tie for seventh at the Pegasus New Zealand Women’s Open at Pegasus Town near Christchurch.
