The Ladies European Tour (LET) turns 30 in 2008 and is celebrating its growth from a predominantly British based tour into a fully fledged global sports organisation.
The Ladies European Tour’s executive director Alexandra Armas today revealed the 2008 LET schedule. Next year the Tour will feature an unprecedented 28 events. It will also boast total prize money in excess of €12.3 million, which is the highest in the LET’s 30-year history.
The final event of the Ladies European Tour season saw the season’s honours awarded. The trophies supplied by Antiqualha, the Ladies European Tour’s Official Trophy supplier were awarded to Louise Stahle for the Ryder Cup Wales Rookie of the Year and to Bettina Hauert for the Players’ Player of the Year.
Sweden’s Louise Stahle sealed her place as the Ryder Cup Wales Rookie of the Year, in association with the Bill Johnson Trophy, after recording a joint 10th finish at the Dubai Ladies Masters in the Middle East.
