Lacoste ambassador Thomas Levet hosted a clinic on the driving range at Golf de l’Océan in Agadir on Wednesday ahead of the Lalla Meryem Cup. The French champion was in the company of LACOSTE European Tour players, Grégory Bourdy and Christian Christian Cévaër as well as LET players, Sophie Giquel, Mélodie Bourdy and Caroline Afonso.

Levet was a particularly skilled showman and hit a number of trick shots from his knees. At one point he placed a golf ball in his mouth and hit it from mid-air. He also had Sophie Giquel hit a wood from a tricky divot and conducted synchronised swinging by five players at a time.

Siblings Grégory and Mélodie Bourdy were reunited for the occasion and joined in the master class for children from the charity Birdies of Essaouira Association, which is supported by the René Lacoste Foundation.

This will give almost 60 children aged from 6 to 14 years old, coming from 3 neighbouring villages in the Essaouira community, the opportunity to enjoy one hour of golf classes a week plus three hours per weekend at the Mogador hotel resort.
