Chrisje de Vries made a hole in one during Tuesday’s practice round at the UniCredit Ladies German Open. She made it on the right hole: the 171-yard par-three 15^th at Golfpark Gut Häusern… but on the wrong day!

Had she made it during the tournament she would have won an Audi R8 5.2 Quattro worth €158,000.

Chrisje, from the Netherlands, posted a photo and this message on Facebook:

‘Just hit a hole in one on the 'Audi-r8-hole', if only I hadn't done it in the practice round!

‘Then I slammed my 5 iron straight into the hole...what are the chances this will happen again tomorrow..?’

The same thing happened to French player Nathalie David-Mila in 2010 as she revealed on Facebook:

‘You know that it happened to me in 2010?!! Unfortunately I did not repeat it 2 days after... I hope you will! Good luck!’

The competitors in the field are getting excited about the prize, which cannot be missed as it’s parked on the 15^th tee.

Sophie Gustafson, playing in the tournament for the first time, wrote: ‘Feel like Homer Simpson drooling over this weeks HIO car.’

She added: ‘Thoroughly enjoying my Audi A5 convertible this week. Almost like being back on my Triumph Tiger.’
