Rookie Blogs: Esther Choe

At Wimbledon

First-year player, Esther Choe, from the United States reviews the past month on the Ladies European Tour.

Hello, welcome to my second rookie blog. I just came home last night from two months of playing and I am exhausted! It was so much fun but it is nice to have a break for a few days and plan for my next leg of events.

I have had a blast these last 6 tournaments. I have seen some beautiful scenery and visited some amazing cities. People have asked me which city has been my favorite so far, but I have to say I can’t choose! Each city has been unique and great in their own way.  Ticino, Switzerland was just about the most beautiful place I have ever seen. I loved the diversity and urban setting in Holland, and the rolling green hills of Munich. Tale, Slovakia was a cozy ski town with beautiful views and great, friendly people. Lastly, I couldn’t get enough of all the architecture of Prague and how historic it is. On the way back home I spent a few days in London, which was amazing as well! Needless to say, this trip has made me feel truly blessed. Not many people have the opportunity to travel the world. I love what I do!

As far as my golf goes, I feel like I have played solidly so far. It has been a transition being a rookie on tour. I feel like I am getting better at balancing the travel, organizing and planning, practice rounds, pro-ams etc. It is great because I have made many new friends out here and they are all so helpful! I can’t wait until I get back out there again. Next stop, Ireland!!
