With just days to go before the start of the London Games we asked several LET golfers about their favourite Olympic memories and their thoughts on golf rejoining the programme at Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

1. What are your favourite Olympic Sports? All swimming events, tennis, horse show jumping and steeplechase.
2. Who is your favourite Olympic sportswoman or man? Why? Michael Phelps.  He appears to be a down to earth guy.  His work ethic is unbelievable.
3. What sport or event do you like to watch during the Olympics? Swimming, especially men’s relays.
4. Have you got any plans to go to watch any event regarding London 2012? Just on my massive flat screen TV J
5. Which country do you think will win more medals during London 2012? What about Great Britain? The US will finish first in the medals.  GB will finish 3^rd.
6. Which Olympic Games you liked the most and why? 1996 in Atlanta.  It was an exciting year for women’s soccer/football.
7. Do you practice currently or have you ever practiced any other Olympic Sport, apart from Golf? I grew up riding horses competitively with a dream of riding in the Olympics, but then I started playing golf and put forth all my efforts to becoming a professional.
8. What is your favourite moment at any Olympics Games? In 1996, when Kerri Strug won the gold medal on an injured leg.  Showed sheer determination and will, to perform at such a high level.
9. Have you met any Olympic athletes apart from Vera Shimanskaya? No.
10. If you were not a golf professional, what other Olympic Sport would you have liked to practice? Tennis.
11. If you had not dedicated your career to golf. In which other Olympic Sport you think you would have succeeded? Horse jumping or tennis.
12. How do you think Golf will change from 2016 after being a new Olympic Sport? Hopefully, it will continue to grow the game because there would be nothing better than representing your country and playing the sport you love.
