Players visit Siam Park in Tenerife
 Print

Ladies European Tour golfers Stacy Lee Bregman, Mary Mattson, Elin Emanuelsson, Stephanie Na, Marieke Nivard and Marjet van der Graaff visited the water kingdom Siam Park in Costa Adeje, Tenerife, on Saturday during the Tenerife Open de Espana Femenino.

The players went on Siam Park’s landmark attraction, the jaw-dropping Tower of Power. After climbing to the top, they took a deep breath and held on tight before free falling 28 metres down an almost vertical descent and emerging through a mysterious aquarium full of awe-inspiring sharks. The players also tried out ‘The Giant’ where they whirled around an enormous funnel on rubber rings.

After going on the Tower of Power slide, South African Stacy Bregman commented: “It was pretty scary to start off with but it was incredible. It goes so fast that your adrenaline is pumping and as you hit the water it’s just like a relief that you actually got to the bottom. It’s always great to be in Tenerife and Siam Park is incredible. You have to come. It’s awesome.”

Siam Park is Europe’s largest water park and features a sandy beach, where visitors can relax on white sand imported from the Algarve in Portugal. It also has ‘The Wave Palace’ where desalinated water is heated all year round and the world record for the largest man made wave created was recorded at four metres, allowing surfing and body boarding inland.
