LET supporting ISPS Handa and Disabled golf: Meeting Nathan Hill. Part II.

The LET is supporting ISPS Handa & Disabled golf. ISPS has fostered partnerships with the Ladies European Tour among other global golf governing bodies to help develop the game at every level and promote blind and disabled golf.

Last year, we introduced Nathan Hill, (read the story here) and have followed the progression of some of the pupils from The Golf Academy whom we met during ISPS Handa Ladies British Masters. We contacted Nathan again and his lovely grandfather John Sanders gave us this update on how Nathan has progressed with his golf:

"We still go every Saturday and Thursday to the range where Craig is still coaching Nath. His progress to me seems to be going in the right direction. Craig introduced Nath to the new RBZ driver which is nearly as tall as Nath. My immediate thought was he will never cope with it, but after a few guide lines from Craig he was away, driving it some 150mtrs and straight. Well done Nath!

We have met a great bunch of guys who have taken to Nath and give him plenty of support. Just before Christmas I had a message from Craig asking to take him up to the range, so we did on the Thursday before holidays. We did a bit on the range and after went for a drink. What a wonderful suprise next, Nath was presented with his very own RBZ driver!! Asked Nath what he thought, reply, Yeeeeees!

So a big thank you to Craig,Carl,Kev,Steve! Great people who care for less fortunate people.

Along came Christmas and more golf attire for Nath, a putting mat for indoors (but Nath can't understand why he can't use his RBZ driver on it althought he said he'd be careful!) A practice net for outdoors, gloves, balls and much more....

We are  now concentrating on getting Nath used to different distances for chipping, putting etc... He did find it hard at first but now has a lot better perception of it. Craig is hopeful of him to take part in junior competition later this year. Let's hope he gets there.

Here we include a few clips of him in action and using his RBZ. Don't miss the video here:

Good progress in all and long may it continue!!!"
