Megan Grehan, born in New York, finished T49th at the Lalla Aicha Tour School last December. Among her achievements was to play professional event on Suncoast series in July 2012. Find more information on her profile here.
Megan wanted to share her experiences from the Lalla Meryem Cup and wrote the following blog:
"This time last year I was working behind a desk as an account manager for a pasta company in Nashville, TN. Now I am a rookie on the Ladies European Tour! Coincidentally, my first event on the Ladies European tour took place right where it started, in Morocco. Before December of this year I had never been to Morocco and it still is quite amazing to me that I have now been there twice in the last four months. First for Lalla Aicha Tour School in Marrakech and now for the Lalla Meryem Cup in Agadir! The LMC was a great tournament on an excellent golf course with beautiful weather, especially compared to everywhere else right now! To top it all off I made the cut, shot 3 under on my final nine holes and earned a nice paycheck to start off the year!

To make things even better, the first two days I played right behind my former Vanderbilt University teammate, and roommate for the week, Liebelei Lawrence. In college I played behind her in the line up quite often, so it felt just like old times in some ways, except we are now touring professionals playing in Morocco! We even took a break one afternoon to go down to the Agadir Marina and caught this gorgeous sunset! It was so nice to spend time with such a good friend as well as make many new ones this week.
Words really cannot describe how excited I am to play on the LET this year! My first event was such a special experience and one that I will treasure for the rest of my life. I am so happy I decided to pursue a career in golf and I cannot wait to see what else this year has in store for me!"
Thank you Megan! We look forward to reading your next update!
