WHAT: The nine-hole scramble featured four teams of two consisting of one current LPGA star and one LPGA legend. The teams selected two primary charities of their choice and competed for a total of $80,000 in charitable donations. Azahara Munoz and Liselotte Neumann were awarded $50,000 for the Fundación Maria Garcia-Estrada and Guide Dogs for the Blind, while the remaining teams earned $10,000 each for their charities. The duo finished 5-under par and carded five birdies and no bogeys in the nine-hole event.

MORE: Altogether, the group of eight players account for 117 LPGA Tour victories and nine major championships. Winners Azahara Munoz and Liselotte Neumann make up 14 victories and one major title together. Munoz had a breakthrough season on the LPGA Tour in 2012 when she became a Rolex First Time Winner at the Sybase Match Play Championship. She was the runner-up to Norway’s Suzann Pettersen at this year’s Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship and has recorded two additional top-10 finishes this season. She played a crucial role as a member of the 2013 European Solheim Cup Team.
Paired with Munoz was Liselotte Nuemann, who captured one major championship title in 13 career victories. She earned Rookie of the Year honors in 1988 after winning the U.S. Women’s Open when she defeated Patty Sheehan by three strokes. She was the captain of the victorious 2013 European Solheim Cup Team in Parker, Colo.
The event honors Dr. Haruhisa Handa, who is a devoted golf supporter and has played a significant role in showcasing the women's game around the globe. ISPS, the organization that he founded in 2006, supports charitable causes throughout the sporting world and currently sponsors more than a dozen professional golf events worldwide.
