. Cheyenne, the last few holes there were up and down and down and up, a little bit tricky?
CHEYENNE WOODS: It was, today was not as easy as the past few days. But I think this was one of my better rounds. I was able to pull myself together and really fight through that back night. I really grinded it out today, and I told my caddy today was the day to grind it out, it was a little windier, the greens were firm so I was really proud of my play today.
Q. They were saying that the greens with the dry weather are quite crusty, a little bit difficult to read especially in the afternoon groups?
CHEYENNE WOODS: Yeah, I agree. The greens are really great, they are a good speed but they definitely firmed up and I missed a lot of putts on the front nine – maybe that’s why, or maybe it was but me but yeah I think the greens are nice. I like them.
Q. At the beginning of the week you said this could be your time, your ready for it, you’ve practiced, you’ve been in this position once or twice, maybe not in a major tournament but that still feels the same? You feel that tomorrow your ready for the challenge?
CHEYENNE WOODS: yeah I feel great and I think getting through today was huge for me, mentally especially. I am proud of how I was able to fight through today and tomorrow is just going to be another day to get through. I’m taking it one hole and a time and just staying patient.
Q. And tonight, just resting?
CHEYENNE WOODS: Yeah, I will probably just relax, get a nice dinner and just watch tv. Try and chat with people back home, but mainly just relax.
Q. It was a pretty tumultuous day for you, 7 birdies, 5 bogeys, you don’t want that tomorrow – you want a nice consistent round?
CHEYENNE WOODS: Yeah, it was definitely a roller coaster today – up and down all day. But like I said, I feel like I played well, I just missed a few putts here and there and had two or three 3 putts, that really hurt me but overall I hit the ball well, I stayed steady throughout the day, I didn’t give up so if I played like this tomorrow I’d be happy. I feel happy with how I finished today?
Q. What would it mean to you to break through for that pro win?
CHEYENNE WOODS: It would be a huge accomplishment, playing well this week I’m already happy with the way it’s been going, but to have that win would just be a cherry on top, especially to start off my year.
Q. At the start were there nerves?
CHEYENNE WOODS: Yeah, it took a few holes to get settled in and then when I just kept missing those putts it was hard to really get on that roll, but I was able to recover and I felt great out there, talking with the girls and just kind of having a relaxing day. It was definitely rough getting started but once I was through half the front and towards the back I really got settled in and I played really well.
Q. Do you think you will be better tomorrow from the experience you had today?
CHEYENNE WOODS: Yeah, I think so. Getting through today, like I said, was big for me and I’m really happy with how it ended up and so I think tomorrow is just going to be another exciting day, I’m excited to be in this situation so I’m just going to take it all and enjoy every moment.
Q. There are about 5 players about 4 or 5 shots off the lead, is it a matter of concentration on what your doing or do you keep an eye on what the others are doing as well?
CHEYENNE WOODS: Im really just going to focus on my own game. I’m going to continue my game plan and how I’ve been playing the last three days and I feel like if I play like I have been playing the last three days I should be somewhere near the top hopefully. But I’ll definitely keep and eye out, you always want to see what everyone else is doing, it gives you that extra push sometimes and you need that little fire in your belly every once in a while just to get that extra birdie here or there. I don’t know but I definitely think it comes down to the fire in your belly and just fighting for every shot, especially on the final day.
Q. How important is it to get off to a good start tomorrow?
CHEYENNE WOODS: I think it’s huge, especially with it being the final round. I hope there are a lot of people out there watching us. I think getting off to a good start will get the day off right and hopefully I will just continue it.
Q. Is there anything else you think you can learn playing around here at Royal Pines?
CHEYENNE WOODS: Yeah I feel great on this course; it’s playing really nice, today I felt like I played the course pretty well, it just comes down to execution.
