Sandra Gal tees up in first event as an LET member at UniCredit Ladies German Open presented by Audi
 Meet Europe’s new star Sandra Gal… who can play in The Solheim Cup! The 25-year-old German won her first title at the Kia Classic on the LPGA Tour in March, holding off World No.2 Jiyai Shin.
She has now joined the Ladies European Tour and is eligible for selection by European Captain Alison Nicholas for the team at Killeen Castle in September, potentially following in the footsteps of compatriots Bettina Hauert and Elisabeth Esterl.
The current World No.34 is playing in her home nation at the UniCredit Ladies German Open presented by Audi at Golfpark Gut Häusern near Munich for the first time this week and could certainly enhance her Solheim Cup prospects with a strong performance on European soil....... more ......

 MAY 2011 UPDATE: Two events have been played on the LET Access Series so far this season, creating two new winners on the Tour.
England’s Henrietta Zuel won the Terre Blanche Ladies Open at Golf de Terre Blanche near Nice in March, with a two shot victory over Frenchwoman Caroline Afonso, the 2010 LETAS Order of Merit winner.

Anne-Lise Caudal from France then triumphed at the La Nivelle Ladies Open at Golf de La Nivelle, near her home town of Ciboure in mid-April. She earned a four shot win over French rookie Julie Maisongrosse.
The next LETAS event is the Dinard Ladies Open taking place from September 21-23 at Dinard Golf, Saint Briac sur Mer, in France, followed by the Trophée Preven’s at Golf de Bussy Guermantes in France from October 13-15. The Murcia Ladies Open will then be staged at La Manga Club Resort in Cartagena, Spain, from November 17-19.
