Draw for the Tenerife Ladies Match Play is unveiled

The draw for the Tenerife Ladies Match Play at Golf Las Américas, from June 10-12, was announced on Thursday, after 32 of Europe’s best players were seeded according to their Strokeplay score in the Pro-Am.

Top seed Karen Lunn leads the field for the new format and will take on Zuzana Kamasova in the first of 16 matches out at 9am on Friday.

The second seeded player, Lee-Anne Pace, will take on Bettina Hauert in the last match at 11.08am.

Friday’s winners will progress to Saturday’s knockout and will then strive to make the last eight, who will play a final round of Strokeplay to decide the top classifications on Sunday....... more ......

Mel Reid claims second LET victory in Holland

England’s Melissa Reid came from five shots behind overnight leader Holly Aitchison to clinch her second Ladies European Tour victory at the Deloitte Ladies Open in Holland.

Reid carded a two under par 70 in the final round at Golfclub Broekpolder near Rotterdam, which proved enough to dislodge Aitchison, who had led from the start after opening rounds of 67 and 71........ more ......

Frances Bondad wins BMW for hole in one

Australian Frances Bondad won a BMW 640i convertible worth 102,500 Euros when she holed in one at the 16th in the final round of the Deloitte Ladies Open.

The 23-year-old from Greystanes in New South Wales registered her first hole in one at a professional tournament when she struck a gripped down 4-iron into the 146-metre hole.

Her prize was more valuable than the winner’s cheque at the tournament, worth 37,500 Euros and there were smiles and high-fives all round as she walked off the 18th hole at Golfclub Broekpolder....... more ......
