Lee-Anne Pace returns to defend in Switzerland
After a phenomenal 2010 season when she won the Ladies European Tour’s Henderson Money List, Lee-Anne Pace is back in Switzerland this week to defend her title at the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open.
Can the 30-year-old South African retain her crown? After a long winter break and having imbedded some swing changes, she feels that her form has improved the point where she is ready to pick up from her five victories last season.

Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open third biggest tournament on LET schedule With a purse of 525,000 Euros, the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open at Golf Gerre Losone is the third largest tournament on the 2011 Ladies European Tour schedule. As such, the sixth edition of the event has attracted a star studded field.
The 2010 champion, Lee-Anne Pace from South Africa, earned a one stroke victory over Scotland’s Vikki Laing last year, when she fired rounds of 69, 67 and 68 for a winning total of 12 under par 204....... more ......

Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open No.1 in strategic sustainability planning The Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open is the highest scoring event in the virtues domain according to the Sustainability Golf Index, a benchmark survey of 72 European golf events from the European Tour, the Challenge Tour, the Ladies European Tour and the Senior Tour.
The Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open was one of the first golf tournaments worldwide to create a strategy on sustainability issues.
Key indicators in the survey, operated by the Dutch company ‘Between-us’, were multi-stakeholder environment, awareness of the audience, sustainability strategy, carbon emissions and accessibility for wheelchairs........ more ......

Richard Green caddies for Marianne Skarpnord Three-time European Tour winner Richard Green is on the ladies’ tour this week, caddying for Norwegian Marianne Skarpnord at the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open at Golf Gerre Losone in Ticino.
The 40-year-old Australian, who won the Portugal Masters in October, said that he is hoping to take some tips back to the men’s circuit when he plays at the BMW International Open in Munich next week...... more ......

Becky Brewerton desperate to make third Solheim Cup appearance Having earned her third Ladies European Tour title at the Tenerife Ladies Match Play on Sunday, Becky Brewerton is hoping that the victory can spur her on to further tournament success, starting with this week’s Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open at Golf Gerre Losone.
On the fringes of Solheim Cup selection, the Welshwoman hopes that her win will have been a nod to European Captain Alison Nicholas.
Although Cup points were not awarded in Tenerife as it was a non-official event on the Ladies European Tour schedule, the 28-year-old from Abergele currently lies 31.5 points behind fourth rankedVirginie Lagoutte-Clement of France on the European standings.
