The best golfers from Europe have assembled at Golf Gerre Losone, in Ticino, Switzerland, this week for the third biggest tournament on the Ladies European Tour schedule: the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open. Anais Maggetti, Switzerland's highest ranked player on the Ladies European Tour, is back home this week to play in the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open for the first time since turning professional in January.
Maggetti took a week off to prepare for the tournament, in which she has played on five previous occasions as an amateur with a best finish of 14th in 2010.... more ....

Norwegian golfer Caroline Martens and Swiss veteran ski star Didier Cuche met at the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open, taking place from June 14-17 at Golf Gerre Losone in Ticino, Switzerland.
The former World Cup alpine ski racer Cuche, who ended his 17-year career in March, was invited to indulge his passion for golf by playing in the Pro Am ahead of the tournament on Wednesday.... more....

Great Britain and Ireland staged a brilliant last-day surge to win back the Curtis Cup at The Nairn Golf Club. They finished victors by 10 1/2pt to 9 1/2. Trailing by 1pt going into the final set of eighth singles, captain Tegwen Matthews' team notched individual wins by Kelly Tidy, who was three down after six holes, Amy Boulden, Holly Clyburn, Charley Hull and the clincher from Stephanie Meadow.... more....

History was made on both sides of the Atlantic last weekend as Shanshan Feng won the Wegmans LPGA Championship, the first player from mainland China to win a golf Major on any Tour, and across the pond, GB & Ireland ended a 16-year wait for Curtis Cup glory by beating the United States by one point. The Executive Director should lead responsibility for developing the LET Tour, to commercialise the business of LET enhancing any possible revenue streams, to elevate the brand and credibility of LET within the industry and develop the playing opportunities and services to the members of the organisation. To work with the Operations, Marketing & Sales Departments to build a programme of tournaments that enhances the reputation of the LET.
