The current World No.1 amateur Lydia Ko and World No.1 professional Yani Tseng pictured together at Commonwealth Golf Club in February 2011, when Tseng successfully defended the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open and Ko was the leading amateur in a tie for 12th place. In 2012 at Royal Melbourne, Tseng tied for 8th, while Ko tied for 19th. Will the 15-year-old Ko be able to better Tseng this year, or will Tseng capture the title for a third time?... more ....

No. 1 Yani Tseng has admitted time and time again she was looking for answers for some of her inconsistent play in 2012. But the Taiwan native hopes some wisdom from her mom recently can confirm good vibes she has felt heading into the 2013 season.

This is my first tournament of the year and I’m very excited and I love Australia. The Ladies European Tour returns to Australia this week for the third tournament of the 2013 season, taking place in the country’s capital, Canberra.
A field of 157 players will be playing for a $1.2 million USD/ €937,500purse in the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open at Royal Canberra Golf Club.
It will be the club’s first time hosting the event and will be included as part of the city’s centenary celebration.... more....

Amid a drama-filled final half hour, 15-year-old Lydia Ko has created history to win the ISPS Handa NZ Women’s Open in Christchurch.
Ko made a clutch three foot putt on the final hole to become the first Kiwi to win the New Zealand Women’s Open and the youngest player to ever win a Ladies European Tour event.
As the nerves left, tears of joy streamed down Ko’s face as she came to terms with her third professional win from only 12 events.... more....
