Field in Focus at Lalla Aicha Tour School Final Qualifying

A field of 95 players from 34 different countries and regions will compete for 2014 membership of the Ladies European Tour this week at Lalla Aicha Tour School Final Qualifying in Marrekech, Morocco.

The final qualifier takes place over 90 holes, or five rounds, of stroke play, from Saturday, 14th to Wednesday, 18th December.

The field has been split into two and competitors will play four rounds over the Al Maaden and Samanah Courses on alternate days.... more....

Interview with Nobuhle Dlamini from Swaziland

World No.6 amateur Nobuhle Dlamini, 22, is attempting to earn her Ladies European Tour card and become the first professional woman golfer from her country. She was exempt from the Pre-Qualifiers on account of her being within the World Amateur Ranking (WAGR) top 25. Dlamini broke into the top ten on the WAGR thanks to a stellar 2012 season that saw her win six titles.... more....

Lampert Looking for More Success in Marrakech

German National Team member Karolin Lampert took the honours at last week’s Lalla Aicha Tour School Pre-Qualifier B event in Rabat. The 24-year-old from northern Finland is attempting to earn her LET card for 2014.

Are you looking forward to the final qualifier?
I’m excited and can’t wait. I think there’s going to be a lot of good putting needed to do well on the course. I feel like I have the game and just need to be patient and wait for the birdies. I’ve played Al Maaden before and I feel it’s a bit easier, a bit easier greens and a bit shorter. I love the Samanah and the mountains and you feel good on the course.... more....

Interview with England's Hannah Ralph

Hannah Ralph, who was born in Chichester, is the niece of respected golf professional Glenn Ralph, with more than 20 years experience on the European Tour and now on the Seniors Tour. Ralph started playing golf at the age of nine at Cowdray Park Golf Club and turned pro in 2010 after LET Tour School with a handicap of +2. She joined the Ladies European Tour the same year.... more....

Interview with Amber Ratcliffe

18-year-old Amber Ratcliffe was born in Norwich, England and she is still amateur. Her dad is with her every time she plays and he is also one of her golf coaches now. He was a very good player and he has been with her from the start.

Amber has had a fantastic year, travelling far and wide and attending the Australian Youth Olyimpics and the PING Junior Solheim Cup in Colorado. She also played her first professional LETAS event, the WPGA Challenge at Stoke by Nayland and finished tied 8th.... more....

Maha Haddioui and Mehdi Benatia Named Best Moroccan Sports Personalities of 2013

Moroccan golfer Maha Haddioui and international footballer Mehdi Benatia from AS Roma have been named the Moroccan sports personalities of 2013, as elected by the sports department of the national radio.

In a survey of 37 national print and broadcast journalists, Maha Haddioui, the only Moroccan golf professional, came out on top in the women’s section, beating athlete Ghizlane Siba.... more....

Lee-Anne Pace Voted Players’ Player of the Year for Second Time

South African Lee-Anne Pace has been votedas the ‘Player’s Player of the Year by her fellow professional golfers on the Ladies European Tour, three years after last winning this award in 2010.

Pace was the only player to win three titles on the LET in 2013, taking her career total to eight wins.... more....

Pettersen wins ISPS HANDA Order of Merit

Suzann Pettersen has won the ISPS HANDA Order of Merit for the first time in her 13-year membership of the Ladies European Tour.

Hull earns Rookie of the Year

It was a fight to the finish in the race to win the 2013 Rolex Rookie of the Year Award on the Ladies European Tour, but 17-year-old Charley Hull prevailed finishing just above Holly Clyburn on the ISPS HANDA Order of Merit, thereby earning a Rolex watch.

Hull finished in a tie for eighth at the season-ending Omega Dubai Ladies Masters, while Clyburn ended in joint 39th position.... more....

Charley Hull Receives SJA Best International Newcomer Award

The LET’s 2013 Rolex Rookie of the Year Charley Hull received The Peter Wilson Trophy as the Best International Newcomer at the 2013 SJA British Sports Awards, at a glittering ceremony sponsored by the National Lottery held at the Tower of London this afternoon.

Previous winners of this award include Laura Davies (1985), Sir Ben Ainslie (1996), Michael Owen (1998), Wayne Roonie (2003), Any Murray (2005) and Lewis Hamilton (2007).... more....
