LET Pays First Visit to Delhi Golf Club

Gwladys Nocera, Sophie Gustafson, Holly Clyburn and Charley Hull are among the leading names hoping to make their mark in the Hero Women’s Indian Open, starting Thursday.

Bree Arthur and Marjet Van der Graaff visit the Taj Mahal

Australian Bree Arthur and fellow LET golf professional Marjet Van der Graaff from the Netherlands took some time out from their preparations for the Hero Women’s Indian Open to pay a visit to the Taj Mahal.

With a little help from Indian golf pro Smriti Mehra, the players took a four hour car ride from the Indian capital to Agra, to see the immense mausoleum of white marble, recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.... more....

Vote for Caroline Hedwall to win Radiosporten Jerringpris

Swedish Solheim Cup heroine Caroline Hedwall is among the nominees for this year’s Jerringpris, a prize established by Radiosporten, the sports section of Sveriges Radio, voted by the radio audience who choose the best athlete of the year.

Caroline, along with fellow golfer Henrik Stenson, are among 14 candidates for this prestigious Swedish national award, won twice by European Solheim Cup vice-captain Annika Sorenstam, in 1995 and 2003. This award is known as the ‘prize of the people,’ since it is the radio audience who vote.... more....

Simi's at ease out of spotlight

Playing on home soil and with course knowledge on her side, India’s most noted women golfer Smriti Mehra is happy that she's not on the limelight as more attention is being given to the younger professionals.

Thailand´s Yoopan hopes to cook up a storm in New Delhi

It's been over one year since Thailand's Tiranan Yoopan had her hands on silverware on the Ladies Asian Golf Tour. Having won in August last year - at the Technology Cup - in Taiwan, Thailand's Tiranan has been going through a dry spell. The 26-year-old from Bangkok, is eager to be back on the winning trail again and it's going to start with this week's US$300,000 Hero Women's India Open at the Delhi Golf Club, one of India's oldest golf club, in downtown New Delhi.... more....

Suh eager to be back

In 2009, South Korean professional Suh Bo-mi won the tri-sanctioned (LAGT-LET-CGA) Suzhou-Taihu Ladies Open,  that also came with a one-year exemption to the Ladies European Tour.

Asians lose out to Europe in skills challenge

The seventh edition of the Hero Women’s Indian Open witnessed the ‘Rest of the World’ team beat ‘Asia’ 3-1 in the ‘Hero Skills Challenge’ at the par-72, Delhi Golf Club course here today.

The Rest of the World team comprising Sophie Gustafson (Sweden), Gwladys Nocera (France), Holly Clyburn(England) and Maria Balikoeva (Russia) beat The Asian contingent of Sharmila Nicollet, Neha Tripathi, Vani Kapoor (all India) and Chung Ye Na (Korea) by a margin of 3-1. Rest of the World pocketed Rs 90,000 for their efforts while Team Asia had to settle for Rs 30,000. Each skills contest was worth a prize purse of Rs 30,000.... more....

Women’s Open set for benchmarks!

It’s a first in the history of the storied Delhi Golf Club that the first ever international women’s professional golf tournament will be held with the Hero Women’s Indian Open (HWIO). It even coincides with Thanksgiving Day and so plenty to be thankful for.

Race to LET Culminates at the Mineks Ladies Classic

The LET Access Series reaches its climax at the Mineks Ladies Classic, which takes place at National Golf Club, near Antalya, Turkey this week. The event will be a key tournament for many of the players in the field and will decide their plans for next season.
