PROFESSIONAL

  • In 2013, played in 15 tournaments and recorded 3 top-10 finishes with a season best tied for 6th at the Turkish Airlines Ladies Open. She ended the season ranked 44th on the Money List
  • In 2012, played in 19 tournaments, recorded 8 top 10 finishes with a season best 3rd at the Tenerife Open de Espana and tied 3rd at the ISPS Handa Ladies British Masters. Season’s earnings €124,438.10 (10).
  • In 2011, played in 18 tournaments and best finish was a tie for 9th at the Ladies Scottish Open.
  • In 2010, claimed the Tenerife Ladies Open at Buenavista Golf Club and the Open de France Feminin at Paris International Golf Club, where she defeated Italy’s Diana Luna on the first play-off hole. Johnson achieved Life Membership of the LET according to the LET’s qualifying criteria with 20 points, after the LET Membership voted to award points to winners of the Comunitat Valenciana European Nations Cup retrospectively.
  • In 2008, represented England at the inaugural VCI European Ladies Golf Cup at La Sella Resort in Spain and won the event partnering Rebecca Hudson.
  • In 2007, won the BMW Ladies Italian Open at Sheraton Parco de- Medici in Rome and qualified automatically for eighth appearance on the European Solheim Cup Team. Posted a 0-1-2 win-loss-draw record at Halmstad taking all-time Solheim record to 5-13-7.
  • In 2005, finished second at the Arras Open de France Dames and Wales Ladies Championship in 2005 which secured a place on the European Solheim Cup team.
  • In 2004, won the Wales Ladies Open in fine style with a closing 8-under par 65 to deny close friend Laura Davies. Finished second on the OOM behind Davies, her best season since 2000.
  • In 2000, represented Europe for sixth time in the 2000 Solheim Cup and helped to secure 2.5 out of a possible 4 points for the victorious European team. Won 2000 The Daily Telegraph Ladies British Masters presented by Kellogg’s.
  • In 1999, Twice matched record for lowest nine holes in 1999 with 29 in both Cantor Fitzgerald Laura Davies Invitational and Palmeraie Marrakech Open. Also equalled record for most consecutive birdies when she started final round of Marrakech Palmeraie Open with seven straight birdies.
  • In 1996, Set Tour records in the 1996 French Open at Le Golf d’Arras with opening round of 62 followed by 36-hole total of 130 and 200 for 54 holes. Missed first cut in 30 tournaments at the 1996 Weetabix Women’s British Open.
  • In 1992, Shared individual honours with Lotta Neumann in 1992 World Team Championship in Taiwan. Beat Patty Sheehan, US & British Open Champion, in Europe’s 1992 Solheim Cup triumph.
  • In 1990, completed four victories to win 1990 Order of Merit.  
  • In 1987, Johnson turned professional and won three tournaments in her rookie season on the Ladies European Tour, as well as finishing as the Rookie of the Year. She also won the LPGA’s Qualifying School at Sweetwater.

AMATEUR

Completed an outstanding amateur career by earning four out of four points when Great Britain & Ireland won Curtis Cup at Prairie Dunes in 1986. South Western Champion 1983, 1984. England Under-23 and Under-21 Champion 1984. England Amateur Champion, England Strokeplay Champion, England Under-23 Champion 1985. Represented GB&I in World Amateur Team Championship 1986.

PERSONAL

179cm with brown hair and brown eyes. Excellent record in tough conditions after learning game on Royal North Devon's exposed links at Westward Ho. Coached by Richard Lawless, from The Wiltshire Golf Club. One of Arsenal FC's biggest fans and attends every match while she is at home and enjoys a healthy banter about football with Solheim Cup partner and close friend Laura Davies. Lists sports, going to the theatre and music amongst her other interests.
