PROFESSIONAL
- In 2012, Kristie played 3 events on the LET with a season-best T21st at the ISPS Handa New Zealand Women’s Open. Earned €7,163.89 (128). Played 13 tournaments on the US Symetra Tour and won the Tate & Lyle Players Championship.
- In 2011, Kristie played in 16 events on the Ladies European Tour and earned her first LET victory at the New Zealand Women’s Open. She also recorded her third career top-10 finish at the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open, where ended joint second. This was her best season on the LET to date, finishing 20th on the Henderson Money List with season’s earnings of €90,449.57.
- In 2010, Smith earned her maiden professional title in January at the Royal Canberra Ladies Classic on the Australian Ladies Professional Golf (ALPG) Tour. Kristie played in 14 events with a season best 2nd place behind Maria Hernandez at the Allianz Ladies Slovak Open. She finished 24th on the Henderson Money List with season earnings of €80,593.61.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Kristie turned professional at the end of 2008 and played on the Duramed Futures Tour in the United States, where her best finish was a tie for 2nd at the 2009 ING New England Golf Classic in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Back on home soil, she tied for 20th at the 2009 ANZ Ladies Masters. With her second round of 62 (-10) at Royal Pines, setting an all-time LET record for most birdies in a round with 12 and equalled the record for most consecutive birdies in a round with seven in a row.
Kristie recorded her first victory in 2011 at the New Zealand Women’s Open.
AMATEUR
Smith was a member of the Golf Australia National Squad and enjoyed a successful amateur career, as the 2008 Australian amateur champion and the low amateur at the 2008 MFS Women’s Australian Open at Kingston Heath Golf Club, where she finished in equal 5th place.
