Biography Taylor, Kirsty S (ENG)
Kirsty arrived on the professional ranks earlier than expected after a glittering amateur career where she won the 1998 Canon European U-21 Junior Championships (Sergio Garcia won the men's equivalent that year), 1999 Italian amateur Ladies championship and the 2001 Portuguese amateur Ladies Championship. Member of the England junior Home internationals winning teams in 1996 and 1997. Silver medalist with England in the European Team Championships. Hampshire Ladies Champion 1999, 2000. Hampshire Junior Champion 1995, 96, 97. Hampshire Junior Captain 1996. Astor Salver winner 2000 (The Berkshire) Harper Salver winner (Bath GC) 2000.
2008 Highlights
Kirsty's best result in 2008 was T4th at the ABN AMRO Ladies Open at Eindhovensche Golf in the Netherlands. She recorded four additional top 20 finishes including T11th at the Madrid Ladies Masters. She finished T12th at the SAS Masters at Haga Golf Club in Norway, where she shot a career low round of 65 on day two. In total, Kirsty earned �54,431.56 throughout the season to finish in 39th place on the New Star Money List. In summary: a successful year.
2007 Highlights
Kirsty played in 21 LET events with her best finish a tie for 9th at the Northern Ireland Ladies Open at Hilton Templepatrick GC. Her next best finish was T12th at the S4C Wales Ladies Championship. Kirsty rounded out the year at 67th on the New Star Money List with earnings of EUR 28,734.56 .
2006 Highlights
Kirsty's confidence was at a high entering the season after she won the inaugural 18-hole event on the newly formed Pro- source Ladies Tour: The City Inn Bristol Ladies Open at The Players' Club in Bristol. Following her victory in the non- LET event, she went on to record her best result of the season: tied third in the Tenerife Ladies Open. Her next best finishes were T10 in the Vediorbis Open de France and T11 in the ANZ Ladies Masters. She earned EUR 46,442.14 to end the season at 40th on the New Star Money List.
2005 Highlights
Kirsty played in 16 events and made 9 cuts in her fourth year on Tour, with her best finish T13 at the ANZ Ladies Masters in Australia. Recorded one further top twenty at the Spanish Open and closed the season at 65th on the Money List and 55th on the Exemption Money List.
2004 Highlights
An up and down season fro Kirsty who played in 13 events with her best finish T7 at the Tenerife Ladies Open. Also finished T11 at the Central European Open, her best results of the season. Missed five cuts but still finished 50th on the OOM.
168cm tall with blonde hair and blue eyes, Kirsty enjoys music traveling, fitness and socialising. Took up golf at the age of 12 and was scratch by the time she was 16. Turned professional when she was +1 at the age of 22 and left the amateur ranks in acrimonious circumstances after a difference of opinion with the ELGA.
