AMATEUR

Spanish Champion 1978, 1980, 1983. French Girl Champion 1976. British Girl Champion 1978. French Close champion 1983. Represented France in World Amateur Team Championship, European Junior Team Championship and European Team Championship. Represented Europe in Vagliano Trophy 1979-1985.

PROFESSIONAL

After 223 tournaments played over a 17-year-career, Marie-Laure announced her retirement from professional tournament golf during the 2004 Ladies English Open at Chart Hills. The 43-year-old from Biarritz, who is an honorary lifetime member of the LET, had won 19 titles on the LET and represented Europe on three occasions at The Solheim Cup in one of the most decorated careers in women's golf. De-Lorenzi joined the Tour in 1987 and won two events in her rookie year and went on to establish a Tour record of winning seven titles in 1988 to earn the first of two consecutive Order of Merit titles. De Lorenzi finished in the top ten of the LET Order of Merit a total of ten times during her career. The Frenchwoman won her national title on three occasions and the last of her victories came at the 1997 Swiss Open.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Won twice in 1987 - rookie year. Established Tour record with seven victories in 1988 to win first of two consecutive Order of Merit titles. Member of European team for inaugural Solheim Cup match 1990. Represented France in Sunrise Cup World Team Championship, Taiwan 1992. Won three tournaments in 1995 season. Declined Mickey Walker's invitation to be travelling reserve for the 1994 European Solheim Cup side because of lost confidence in her swing. Equalled Tour record for 54 holes tournament with total of 201 in 1995 Staatsloterij Dutch Open. Led the Ladies squad to victory against Seniors Tour in 1999 Praia D'el Rey European Cup.
