PROFESSIONAL CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
First Tour victory came in 1987 Weetabix Women’s British Open since when she has added 11 more Tour titles. Twice won three times in a season. Finished 2nd in Order of Merit three years running from 1988. Formed formidable partnership with Laura Davies in Solheim Cup. Scored two LPGA victories in the 1995 Corning Classic and the PING-AT&T Wireless Services LPGA Golf Championship. Showed remarkable consistency on 1999 LET, securing top-10 finishes in seven of her nine events. Called a two-shot penalty against herself in second round of 1999 Donegal Irish Ladies Open, eventually missed out on a playoff by one shot. Represented the victorious European side in The Solheim Cup 2000 and secured 2.5 vital points. Was appointed Vice Captain of The Solheim Cup for 2003 and 2005. Retired from competitive golf in 2004 after 20 years on Tour. Assisted at The 2007 Solheim Cup in Halmstad, Sweden. Served as European Solheim Cup Captain for The 2009 Solheim Cup at Rich Harvest Farms, Sugar Grove, Illinois, USA. Was re-appointed as European Solheim Cup Captain for the 12th match at Killeen Castle, Ireland, in 2011 when Europe defeated the USA by a score of 15-13.

PERSONAL
152cm with brown hair and brown eyes. Hobbies include skiing, reading, photography and most other sports. Awarded MBE in Queen’s Birthday Honours list. Having retired from her playing career after 20 years on tour, Alison now concentrates her efforts on golf days, clinics, coaching, consultancy work, speaking engagements, commentary and charity work.
