Wright finished second at the 2001 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championship while at PepperdineUniversity. She was a semifinalist at the 2002 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship, finished second at the 2002 World Cup in Malaysia and was a finalist at the 2002 British Amateur Championship. She played in the 2003 Kraft Nabisco Championship as an amateur and tied for 57th.

• In 2009, recorded a career-best runner-up finish at the McDonald's LPGA Championship Presented by Coca-Cola; carded a career-low 64 in the third round of the Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill, where she tied for third; also finished fourth at the Kraft Nabisco Championship and tied for third at the Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill.
• In 2008, recorded a season-best third-place finish at the Fields Open in Hawaii; crossed the $1 million mark in career earnings at the Ginn OPEN, where she tied for 17th.
• In 2007, best finish was fourth place at the McDonald’s LPGA Championship Presented by Coca-Cola.
• In 2006, best finish was a tie for sixth at the CN Canadian Women’s Open.

• In 2004, competed on the Futures Tour, where she won the Bank of Ann Arbor FUTURES Golf Classic and finished second on the money list to earn exempt status for the 2005 LPGA season.
• In 2003, turned professional in June and competed on the Futures Tour, where she won the G.E. Futures Professional Golf Classic; tied for 54th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn non-exempt status for the 2004 LPGA season.
